Dear Guest,
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about our church.  Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions that you might have as a first time guest.  If you’re looking for a church family, then look no further!  We’d love to have you as part of our family!
God Bless You,

Thrive Family Church

what to expect

Upon arriving at Thrive, you can expect to be greeted by friendly faces and warm smiles!  It’s our goal to make sure that your first visit will have a lasting impression on you.
what do I wear?
You’re free to wear what you’re most comfortable in.  There’s no expectation for you to look any certain way here.  Many wear suits, while others dress more casual.  The only guidelines are for those involved during the services.
how long are the services?
Our Sunday morning service typically lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes.  Wednesday service starts at 7pm and ends at 8.
does it matter what denomination I come from?
We just want to share and study the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ together with you.  So, come on out and enjoy God with us, no matter what denomination you come from.  Everybody is welcome here.
will I be asked to stand or talk on my first visit?
You’ll be welcomed lovingly, but not called out or embarrassed by being asked to stand up to introduce yourself.
do I need to bring a Bible?
We do recommend that you bring a Bible and a notebook with you.  We refer to scripture often.  If you do forget your Bible, no problem, we have plenty for you to borrow.
do you have something for kids?
We offer fun, creative, and engaging children’s programs for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary age children.  We don’t just babysit children, we teach them the Bible in relevant ways for their age level.

what we believe

the Bible
we believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God (2 timothy 3:16-17)
one God
we believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1 John 5:6-8)
our Lord Jesus Christ
we believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 1 Peter 2:18-24, John 3:16)
we believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential (Romans 3:21-30)
the Holy Spirit
we believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit for today (1 Corinthians 12)
we believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they are saved unto the resurrection of life; and that they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:24, 28-29)
we believe that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers
(Isaiah 53:4, Matthew 8:16-17, Mark 16:8, John 5:6-14, 1 Peter 2:24)

our history

In October of 2009, Ken and Lisa Ossman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, were called and directed by the Lord to pastor Hillcrest Christian Fellowship in Muskogee.  For the next three years, they faithfully preached God’s Word, seeing prayers answered and growth in the church.  In 2012, through the direction of the Lord, we began to prayerfully seek specific direction and the vision for the body of Hillcrest Christian Fellowship.
In 2014, the church became known as Thrive Family Church.  With this name came the specific mission, vision, and direction.  Thrive Family Church is primed and ready to reach out to the local community and beyond through the power and direction of the Holy Spirit.

our vision

Thrive Family Church exists to reach people
with the love, Word, and power of God,
to see them set free, transformed, thriving in life,
preparing believers for the work of service
and to honor the Lord with their lives
Our desire is to love people as God loves them by reaching out to them in their communities and through our services.  God’s Word and power has the ability to set us free by renewing our minds to the truth.  Once we’ve been set free, were in position to flourish in every area of our lives.  A fruitful, mature believer learns to live a life of service by being prepared to do works of service, through which the Lord receives much honor.
